1440 Minutes a day

Each day we start with 1440 minutes a day. So what do we do with it? Do we have any set plan of what were are going to do, what are we going to eat and just plain wear. Some where down the line we all lose focus and step into a routine of life. As my life style change and I start to set goals I notice a lot more that other things in my life is changing. I write more I think of the day ahead of me and what I am going to eat. I am planning more in everything not just food.

Lets go back to food for a few minutes. Do you know what you are going to eat that day. I now sometimes what we plan may not be what we want that day, but planning is a start. Every week I ask the bloggers that I am blogging with "What is your Goal for this week?" some come back with what they have set other don't at all. When you through that out there then you are more likely to meet them. So what is you goal for the week? Remember if you write it I will be asking. Then I will ask so how you going to get it. Every day you have that same 1440 minutes a day as I do. Make them count you will get a lot more done and then when you look back you can say I did it.

Start with only a few goals in mind what do you want to see happen tomorrow and what you what for the week. Take out the calendar and pen an paper make if visual to see. Pin it to you bathroom mirror. So now lets plan tomorrow so we know what we are going to do.
1) What are you going to eat for lunch, snack and dinner? (How many calories do you need)
2) What are you going to wear? ( put this our right away)
3) What do you have planned to do for the day?
If you need help post it then it will be out there. Put it on your blog give me a link and I will ask you questions.

Spring cleaning - in everything

Spring is just around the corner, I know where there is still snow on the ground. Just pretend and start moving yourself. Think of things around your house that needs to get done. As for me I have a huge reason my oldest daughter is getting married. So you all know what that means, family, friends and business associate are coming to town. Right now I have the cleaning bug, but that is now why I am writing this. It is time to move, when we are moving no time to be bored and eat. I have a fellow blogger Eat to Live 2010 that I twitter with and follow his blog. The other day he got out side in the snow and worked in it. Well this weekend I did the same. I put on my glove and hat and shoveled the snow. What a work out, but boy did it feel good. Then my son came out and helped and we had a great time. I spend time with my kid and had a good workout shoveling snow. Look around the house do you need to start some spring cleaning so then when spring does come you can work outside and not inside.

Time to write

I find my day's are on high speed just not enough hours in the day. I have not been on the computer in forever so I have not blogged. I haven't even got to ready any blogs. While I travel I will make sure to carry a pen and paper to write subjects I want to write on. My first magazine of fitness came in. I can hardly wait to read it and comment on items in there. So keep checking back for my magazine review. I need a new pair of shoes for the gym so I think a review would be nice for this as well. Not much to say today, I have not been on the scale in a while. Tomorrow I check my measurements at the gym. Hope I did well.

Going shopping for clothes

Well the trip to the Bahamas is coming close and I have to go shop. This part I don't like to do at all. I know I have lost 8 lbs, but still not down enough for the next size. I don't know about you all, but I hate to go shopping for clothes. I am happy just wearing what I have. Well I am almost down to the next size. Here is my delima should I buy a smaller size? I will tell you what Once I go down that size I am taking the stuff right down to the goodwill or sell it on ebay right away. I am not going to look back. So I will let you all know how the shopping trip goes. This is going to be hard for me to do. You all know how I hate looking in the mirror at my self. I am getting better about that thought.

Don't deprive yourself

Thanks to Matt a fellow blogger for this idea to blog about. Don't deprive your self from foods you crave. So many people start diets only to fail within weeks of starting. They go home from some meeting or read a book and wipe out the whole kitchen. Then they have this kitchen of food they don't know how to prepare and have not acquired the taste for. Let me tell you it take baby steps. I did not go out the next day and throw everything out and start my healthy living like that. I took baby steps on everything from exercise to food. When I switched to whole wheat pasta I mixed it at first till one day that was all we had. Then I used a smaller plate to eat on that helped a bunch. Don't forget he water, remember the day I could only drink 20 oz. Now I am up to almost 64 oz of water a day. Don't deprive yours self when going to parties. Just take a smaller piece or share with someone. I know have a huge piece of pie taste great, but then we all know what happens afterwards. The guilt sets in and then we almost backslide, because of eating a huge piece of pie. Take your time eating enjoy your food. For those of you that only have 30 minutes to eat at work take at least 20 min. to eat. Then walk for at least 5.

Move and move again. Just sitting in the office does not help at all. You have a 15 min. break us it walking around.

I am at 8

Yes, I have lost 8 lbs. That is about 4 a month so I am right now track. I started in December of 09 and told my self If I can at least lost 4.5 am month that would be great. Well them baby steps really help. I have to be honest I did not step foot in the gym. Work has kept me a way this week and they cold. Having a cold really brings things to a stop. So my advise to you all really is make small goals. I never thought I would be this far, there were day's I just wanted to quit. I step on that scale everyday and know where I am at. I went to a baby shower the other day and boy did they have some chocolate cake with strawberry's on top. I knew how much I could have since I watched all day what I was eating. So I was able to enjoy a piece of cake, but just a small one. I drank my water and was totally happy.

The other day on the phone with a co worker we were talking about the cruise we are going on. The subject changed to us working on losing weight. I told her about me drinking more water. How our body is made of water. Well remember the battle I was having with drinking water well not no more. I keep a glass of water at my desk with a lot of ice and one next to my night stand. Water is everywhere, not soda in my house, but the kind my husband drinks. Even the kids are getting us to drinking water all the time. When I go out to eat I either bring some home for lunch or share a meal with one of the kids. At first that was hard, but this is something I have worked hard at. Keeping my self active really helps.

So Keep up the good work all.
