Looking in the Mirror


Remember the first time I told you all when I did my first work out about the mirror? Well I keep thinking of the first time I looked in the mirror at my self. The trainer was just trying to show me my form. He wanted me to watch how I was doing the exercise, but I was not looking at my form. I was looking at me and thinking how did I get this way. Then I realized I never look at my self in the mirror. I only do it really fast in them morning when I am getting ready. Other than that I never look. Then I really started to think about it why? I like my self as a person and it does not matter what is staring back at me. Hollywood has put this perfect image out there. Nothing is perfect in life. So everyday I am a point to really look at my self and talk to my self and say I am going to do this. Yes there are day's that are hard to do it. Especially them day's that I step on the scale and know that I did not do so well. The day will come when I look in the mirror and say I a made it. I did it because I want to be healthy!

Taking a break

Hi All I had to take a break from Blogging yesterday. I worked almost 12 hours yesterday and was totally tired. Tired is not good because I did not get a well balanced meal. Today is Friday and I plan to put in my eight hours and then turn off my computer for the weekend. As you all know my office is in my home. I am going to the gym. I can't believe I miss going to the gym.

Question to you all. I have been thinking about this for a long time. Would you all like me to interview my trainer? I have thought about this a lot. So let me know what you all think. I was going to find place in my area for a classes on food. I will keep you all in the loop on that.

Get up and move


Today I have thought all day about this. When we are young we do everything go place and just keep going. I am not saying we are old by any means, but our activity slows down. I was on the phone for 4 1/2 hours straight for work. That my friends is a long time. Then I started to think of all the time I do have that luxury to move, but just sit. Last night I moved I worked out and then went to the mall and did some more walking. I did not buy anything I just got up and moved. Oh and on top of that I cleaned. Now that my life style is changing and the energy level is increasing so is my movement. Get up an move do something just don't sit after dinner do something. I know you worked all day and don't want to do anything. That is a mind set we give our selves that we work all day and now it is time to rest. Wait for some of us we did sit all day. So we need to get up and move. Start planning a garden, you don't need a yard to have one. I have seen some people do gardens on the patio of their aparment. We are always looking for excuses. So tomorrow start by seeing why you don't move. For you lunch break do you walk or just a 15 min break in general. You know the law does day we get breaks. So what do you do with them?

Regular exercise program

So what do you all think. Tonight have cleaned like crazy. I am sleeping better for sure. It is harder and harder for me to get up in the morning. One day I woke up and was not stressed during the day. So you all be the judge exercise or not.

When you fall back down get up

You know we all fall down several time a day whether it at work or home. We have to learn to pick our selves back up. Today was a perfect example of falling down. I over ate this weekend, I knew it and this morning when I stepped on the scale I was not surprised. I did really good prepared my food and then my mind took over. I felt so hungry and everywhere I turned there was unhealthy food. So of course I got hungry at time and said I would only have a few bites. Well a few bites went to a few more. So I am up a little today, but now to much. It is just frustrating when I do this to my self. So I just need to get back up and keep going. There is always tomorrow and the next day.
When inversions were made they had to fail to improved on this.

Carbohydrates - Carbs

I was just checking out CGBBlog and decided it was time to talk food. Yes, the first part of this series will be what are Carb and why do I need them. Since I have been taking a better look at food I have been educating my self.
Carbs are the main source of Energy for the body. That is why it is so important to have some first thing in the morning. Please and I repeat don't miss breakfast.
He is a base line of when you should have them.
Breakfast: 1 protein and 2 carbs
Snack: 1 protein and 1 carb
Lunch: 1 protein and 1 carb and vegetable
Snack: 1 protein and 1 carb
Dinner: 1 protein and 2 cards and vegetable

Me personally I love vegtable so I have them quite often.

Here are a few item that fall in the Carb category
Baked Potato
Squash
Brown rice
Oatmeal
Beans
Corn
Pop corn
Apples

I wish there was a way to make a list of adobe for you all.

Prepare Prepare Prepare

This is what I am finding with anything I do now. I have to go up to Denver today for a Quiz meet. I just know what is going to happen they will have no good snacks, no healthy food to chose from and I will want everything. So this is were the being prepared comes into play. Last night and some this moring I prepared my food. I know this is so lunch box, but I am serious about this. I have worked to hard for them 5lbs and then all the soreness I am encountering my new things. Oh no, I am not going to have my self go back to being blah. What I am taking now just for me, but my whole family. I have snacks which are healthy, lunch a small salad and a few other things. I thing I will need to talk about proteins, carbs and other things my next blogs. I knew something about them but not a whole lot. By educating myself more and more I am understand food. What give you energy and what makes you really unhealthy. I am looking forward to a garden this year. I still what that winter one. But now that we are going to start preparing for the wedding we need to rethink the whole back yard thing. I am still trying to collect so really good recipes for the family.

I guess what I am trying to say is be prepared. Take your breakfast, lunch and dinner with you. Carry some snacks. I know I still have to take a picture of my snack basket. I told Art my trainer I was going to bring one down for them.
